My Project

Schooling is not just about academics, but about teaching students how to be humans in the world we live in.

Each one of these kiddos have lots to learn about life along with learning about school.

By incorporating a moment into our day in which they are rewarded for doing one of both of these things is a way to make a classroom community.

In my classroom we have a "WOW" board. This board allows students to place their name when they have done something "WOW" worthy in our classroom. At the end of the week we roll a number and letter and students can earn a reward if they are the lucky one in the square. These rewards are fit to students wants and things they find enjoyable.

Giving students incentive to want to do the right thing, will cause them to form a habit of just doing the right thing all the time!
