You Cannot Open a Book Without Learning Something!
Help me give my students these books that show and explain important social and emotional skills that are so crucial to their growth and development as young learners: Growth Mindset, tattling, communication, and self-esteem.
Students in my classroom are eager to learn everything put in front of them. They love the awesome environment that we provide but sometimes aren’t presented the opportunity to understand certain social skills. In addition, they often lack self-esteem and give up easily.
One part of my job, is to help their self-confidence and be the motivator and cheerleader in their life that tells them they can achieve anything they put their mind and heart to.
Most of my students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures and come to school each day with a smile on their face. I want to be sure they keep their smile and zest for life, as long as possible.
My Project
These books will make such a difference in my students' lives. Sometimes they do not have the opportunity to have books put in their hands. With these resources at their fingertips, I will be able to expose them to a lot of topics that will help them be a successful learner in today's world.
Topics such as Growth Mindset, communication, courage, kindness, controlling impulses, staying positive, and self-esteem are just a few of the topics that will be covered with these books.
I will use these books as read alouds and points of discussions for my young learners to grow.
