This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We have a wonderful 4th grade class in Barrio Logan. Nearly half of our school population is homeless and they live in the local shelters. We are a low income school but we work extra hard with the resources that we do have. We have nearly 500 students in the school and our class sizes are real big. Nonetheless, we continue to strive to be the best we can be and we work so hard to give these children the tools that they will need to be successful.
I am confident that with your support that we can go far and make great improvements for these kids overall success.
My Project
We will be able to use outdoor equipment as we do not have much. We will also be able to enhance our class library and spice up our lessons with the supplies. You have the opportunity to join along side us as we embark on making our school experience even stronger. Our kids do not have enough books in the class. They do not have sports equipment for recess or PE. With your help and support we will be able to go to even deeper levels than ever before. Thank you for your consideration and we are so pleased to be able to work together.
