My Project

I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students! Our school is a Title I school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes or may live in a motel. All of the students receive free lunch. Most are English Language Learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances.

Kindergarten students count every single day, when they rote count it's pretty easy and done by memory.

When my students need to count objects for understanding of quantity, addition or subtraction, it's easier if the have something to count. When children have something fun to count like dinosaurs their learning comes to life, they can see adding more, subtracting less and number/quantity association.

Our school supplies us with cubes but my students would love to learn with fun counters, making their learning fun and exciting.
