My Students

My students are are from Philadelphia and have been working tirelessly from their homes this past year. My scholars are in grades k-5. This is a special class that focuses on mental wellness. This year has been a tough one on these scholars and working on their emotional skills is more important than ever!

My Project

My students will be putting good use to these supplies when we return to the classroom and get back to some normalcy. We have been practicing yoga and meditation at home this past year and it has been a success. Not only have my students come to enjoy yoga and meditation, it has created a sense of calmness and peacefulness in my classes. This was just what we needed during the pandemic and virtual learning.

It has been a difficult time for students and finding peace and tranquility is important.

There will still be a lot of emotional work that needs to be done when returning in the fall. I would like to have the tools to continue this work and create a peaceful place for students to relax, share and release their emotions.
