My Students

The Middle School students at my school in Camden, New Jersey are one of the brightest and most hardworking classes in the whole city. They are striving to create a great school year so that they can set a foundation for high school next year. With your donation, you can help create a better overall mental and physical health for these students so that they increase their level of balance. .

Our school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.

As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in the city of Camden every year. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in high school and college.

My Project

Every Friday at the end of the day, students take the time to center themselves through yoga. They take the time to figure out what they want to focus their energy on at the beginning of class and we make sure that we set that intention to keep with us throughout the whole class. The yoga mats will help keep the students grounded and make the experience of yoga so much better. When practicing different moves, students will be able to know that their mat is their space and their space only to set those intentions for themselves throughout the class.
