Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being at a Title one school our students and athletes do not have the best or sometimes any equipment that other schools have.
We currently have no yoga mats and have been doing it on the gym floor with no mats.
We have no budget for this and our students/athletes really enjoy the benefits of yoga.
Getting yoga mats will help our students become more engaged and willing to do it. Yoga promotes deep breathing increases blood flow and warms up muscles, while holding a pose can build strength. This also helps reduce injuries.
