Yoga for Little Ones Inside the Classroom and Outside Too!

Help me give my students yoga mats! In these days of social distancing, these will give my students their own personal space to work, rest, do yoga, and watch the clouds outside!

My Students

I teach in a small, rural school. My students are active, curious, and love learning and spending time outside!

Being active and spending time outside is a highlight of our days!

I am excited to begin our school year and take advantage of our beautiful school grounds!

My Project

In these days of social distancing in the classroom, I would LOVE for each of my 10 students to have their own yoga mat for not only practicing yoga but for defining a "personal space" both inside and outside.

In addition to doing yoga, I envision allowing my students to decompress on these mats when they just need to rest as well as using the mats to define a personal space both inside and outside the classroom.

In the event that we have to go to remote teaching/learning again, they could take their mats home and I could continue leading yoga sessions over Zoom!
