This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Yoga blocks are incredibly versatile props that can enhance your practice, providing support, alignment, and assistance in reaching deeper stretches, especially in yoga styles like Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin. Yoga blocks can be used effectively in our Physical Education class by supported poses in Yin or Restorative Yoga. These blocks can support the body in a variety of Yin Yoga poses, such as under the knees in Supta Baddha Konasana or under the hips in Savasana for gentle elevation, creating a more relaxed and comfortable experience. Yoga blocks are excellent tools to improve flexibility, maintain proper alignment, and make my students practice in PE class more accessible and comfortable. They are helpful for both beginners and seasoned practitioners, providing extra support in challenging poses and helping deepen stretches without compromising safety.
