Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

By implementing the "Yoga 4 Tweens" project, we can create a holistic approach to student well-being that addresses physical health, emotional resilience, and academic success.

Through regular practice of yoga, scholars can cultivate lifelong habits for a healthier, happier, and more balanced life.

The tools acquired for this project will help to promote physical fitness, reduce stress, enhance concentration and focus, promote emotional regulation, and foster a positive school environment for our scholars.

With the help of our supporters through Donors Choose, we hope to acquire yoga mats, blocks, resistance bands, and educational materials such as trauma-informed yoga affirmation cards to assist our scholars in developing mindfulness by bettering their physical, mental, emotional and social health.
