Help me give my students a comfortable and safe place to be calm, mindful and meditate. The Meditation cushions and Yoga Bolster cushions will be a great addition to our Yoga lessons at school.
We have a great community of schools, students, staff and families here. It is a unique set up with four schools all in the same vicinity, which allows students to be able to grow up within a close community throughout their years going through the schools (K-12). As they get older, students have many opportunities to get involved and interact with the other schools and students of different grade levels in various activities and events within the school community. It is fun to be able to watch the students grow up and have them in grade school and then be able to come back as High School student athletes or teacher aids.
All of our schools also struggle with a High Poverty rate and have many families and students that have a hard time getting the things they need.
It is nice to be able to provide opportunities for them at school that they might not otherwise have at home. Making them feel safe, happy, and giving our students the best is most important!
My Project
Yoga is something that can be taught and done anywhere with any age. Young kids love to explore movement and don't even realize they are doing YOGA. There are so many benefits for kids doing yoga, that is why I want to incorporate more into our school.
These meditation and bolster cushions will help us to implement mindfulness lessons into our yoga sessions with all grade levels.
They can be used to sit on and meditate, as a part of a pose, a part of games and much more. The students will be able to also use them for quiet and reflection time when they need it.
