My Project

What I love most about my students is their perseverance, loyalty, and unwavering drive to succeed and grow. Even when faced with challenges, they continue to show determination and resilience, always striving to be better than they were the day before. Their loyalty to each other and their goals creates a supportive, inspiring environment, and their dreams fuel not just their progress but the energy of the whole classroom. It’s a privilege to witness their journey and growth each day.

Yin Yoga is a gentle and calming practice that can be especially helpful for middle school students.

During this time of life, many students experience increased stress from schoolwork, social pressure, and physical changes. Yin Yoga allows them to slow down, breathe deeply, and relax their minds and bodies. Holding poses for a few minutes at a time helps activate the body’s natural relaxation response, which can reduce anxiety and improve sleep, both important for focus and emotional well-being.

Using yoga bolsters can make practicing Yin Yoga even more supportive and comfortable for middle schoolers. Bolsters provide extra cushioning and support, helping students stay relaxed in each pose without straining their muscles. This makes it easier to stay still and focused during longer holds, which is a key part of Yin Yoga. With the help of bolsters, students can fully settle into each position, making the practice more enjoyable and effective in reducing stress and building mindfulness.
