Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Third grade is a major math watershed for students. Any children who have not yet mastered addition and subtraction facts are suddenly left to the wayside as their peers memorize multiplication facts to 12 and begin simple fraction division. Only those who are woefully unskilled will be referred for remedial help or an IEP evaluation. Interesting math activities can change a student's academic life. Fun games such as Swamp Sum and learning puzzles such as the Learning Palette engage students and help them master math skills they will need to thrive in 4th grade. If you love math and are looking for a worthy cause, here it is!
