My students need whiteboard paint that will cover their desks and engage them in all subject areas. They need speakers to hear songs we learn to the alphabet and 20 seat storage sacks for individual materials.
Do you remember the urge you had to write on your desk - or listen to music to learn?! In my class you can - well, with your help!
We are a title one school in a socio-economically disadvantaged neighborhood.
Our class is all African American students ages 6 to 8 in the second grade. We are in an urban school in California. All of us signed the Yellow Brick Road to College pledge that holds us accountable for helping change the world.
My Project
Whiteboard paint that will cover our desks will engage my students to learn in all subject areas. During spelling tests my students will be able to write on their desk - a fun way to take a test, eh?! My students need speakers that plug into our computer for inspiration during art so they can use their new whiteboard/desk medium. To organize and be prideful of our work, seat sacks will keep students individually responsible for their materials for these projects!
What good can school be if you think it's all work and no play?!
Our class will be full of radiant smiles and positive learning attitudes with your help - something that has come slow-and-steady since our start as a team this year. I hope you can step-up and join us with help!
