Working with gifted students requires many tools and materials to experience hands-on learning. We are currently working to create model truss bridges. It's an exploration into bridge building and thinking like a civil engineer. Once students have designed a bridge, they will construct it using wood and glue.
In order to complete this project safely, I need the proper tools.
I'm looking to purchase four timber cutters so students may cut wood for their project, but protect their fingers in the process. Once the bridges are constructed, they will be tested to see which structure is able to hold the most weight. Precision is key and having the proper cutting tools will help us immensely.
