This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Imagine spending 4 years--7:30am-5pm on weekdays, Saturday school together, and summer school with a bunch of peers and never capturing a single moment to remember years later?
Who: Grades 5-8 (ages 10-13)
What: Hard working and nice!
How: Our students are in school for longer hours and a longer school year than most. Students at KIPP: Tech Valley
Charter School work extremely hard and deserve to be rewarded for their desire, dedication and determination!
My Project
4 REFURBISHED cameras: One camera per grade (5-8) to use for the Yearbook club.
4 Sim Cards: One per camera/per grade to store pictures on camera.
5 Pack of USB's: One per grade (4) to transfer pictures to computer and (1) for Yearbook Teacher Leader.
If we get funded this year we will be able to offer a yearbook to the ENTIRE school--grades 5-8, teacher leaders, alumni, and parents/guardians!
Due to low funds last year, the Yearbook Adviser simply used Microsoft Works (Publisher) to create a black and white, stapled yearbook solely for the 8th grade class. Parents never received a yearbook, neither did the teacher leaders that taught students for 1-4 years.
A yearbook ends the year on a good note! :)
