Yearbook Camera & Accessories

My students need a new camera with basic accessories (including a battery charger and memory cards) to capture events & activities for the school yearbook and website.

My Students

Most of my students are used to seeing me snap pictures around campus and at school events with my cell phone. This is because I put together our school yearbook and my phone's camera (it's picture quality, memory and battery life) is superior to our outdated school camera.

My students are a vivacious bunch of kindergarten through fifth graders who love to have their picture taken.

There are so many precious moments in the course of a school year and I enjoy photographing as many of them as I can for the yearbook and school website.

My Project

Using my personal cell phone means the files get mixed in with my personal photos and backed up onto my personal computer. It would be wonderful to have access to a quality, designated school camera with the appropriate accessories. Student helpers would benefit from access to a "real" digital camera, too, while I could alleviate the personal risk I regularly take when I hand my phone over to a child to help take school pictures.

A contribution towards this equipment will improve the quality of photographs for the school yearbook and website and improve the overall efficiency of organizing and storing school photos.
