I’m a speech-language pathologist. It’s my seventh year, but my first year in the schools. I have a full room to fill.
“Come for fun!” I’m hoping that the materials meet the sensory, diversity, and educational needs of the students - to bummer their basic sensory needs, they they have the capacity to focus and learn to their best ability.
My goal is to have flexible seating options to meet each student where they are in their learning journey. I want books and an iPad for language and communication building for the students to understand themselves, the world around them, and in turn, be able and to advocate for themselves. And of course, I want games to entice the students to come to speech - when anyone is excited to learn, they thrive.
My students are clever, sensitive, and curious about the world. They need stability and crave education done well. Thank you!
