Welcome to Music! The wonderful world of music! Our amazing K-8 school values music and the arts and knows the difference it makes in student motivation and success. In our 12 young years, the music program has grown from its humble beginnings of traveling to classrooms with a cart, to a full fledged music room with a reputation in the community for great music performances, showcasing many students.
Our students learn, explore, create and express themselves in many musical ways.
Some of the exciting things that students can see in the classroom are handbells, boomwhackers, xylophones, glockenspiels, various percussion instruments, recorders, ukuleles, guitars and more. We will continue to strive for a nurturing, encouraging environment for students to open up, sing and move!
My Project
The xylophone rolling carts will make our music classroom much more user friendly. The classroom accommodates a wide range of student ages, Kindergarten through 7th grade, and many musical offerings from general music, guitar, percussion ensembles, chorus and more.
Since our music classroom makes many quick changes during the school day between ensembles, the rolling carts will make it easier for students to be more self sufficient in their set up and get started on their music making.
We love our xylophones! These instruments are perfect for adding accompaniment, improvising and creating, as well as singing along with. We are blessed to have them in our school and are committed to their use with all of our students. Thank you for helping us to keep our students "rolling" along1
