Help me give my students prizes to fill up their treasure boxes such as sensory toys, candy, and party favors as an incentive for positive behavior and academic performance reinforcement!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
While I have very high academic and behavioral expectations of my students, I am well aware that many of them benefit from positive reinforcement and incentives. Our classroom treasure box is a hot commodity! The only problem is, these kids are so terrific I am running out of ways to reward them! I am requesting rewards that will appeal to both the girls and boys in the class, including sensory toys, gummy bears, bubbles, and squishy balls.
The feeling of pride in their personal behavior and academic pursuits encourages my students to do their best so that they can earn a trip to the treasure box!
I know these prizes will bring a smile to their face and keep them on the right track with their behavior. I hope they will look forward to being in class every day and continue to be the best students they can be! It will make a difference in my classroom as well as school-wide. Oftentimes, students' positive behaviors go unnoticed; I want to reward my students' good deeds with these items.
