My students need a computer table to set the desktop computer on and an area that is child friendly and easy for them to reach.

My Students

My scholars greet me with hugs. My students walk in the classroom everyday with smiles on their faces and eager to learn! They are excited to be in school and I am excited to be with them. I believe in them and I believe with the right resources they can achieve anything.

I teach in an inner city school.

My school is a Pre-K to Grade 8 school.

My students need this computer station to help differentiate instruction. This area will be used during center time. The computer will help my ENL students to learn English. Most of my students do not have access to the learning materials at home that would promote their academic success. They are at a huge disadvantage because many of their parents do not speak English, so they do not get the academic support at home. Due to budget cuts and no funding we have to use other resources to get what our students need. This computer table along with the resources we do have at school will help my students have academic success.

My Project

This computer table will allow my scholars to have room to access the computer properly. In our classroom we have desktop computers, and currently they sit on regular tables that are too small and do not allow the scholars to maneuver the mice properly.

The table we are requesting will create a more organized area for our desktops to sit on properly and allow the children the area they need to work independently without the help of the teacher.

My scholars will be able to put the headphones away properly and place the mouse on the computer table without it falling and getting tangled in the other wires on the computer. This computer table will help alleviate some of these things by allowing us to have our own space.
