My students need a set of Common Core math fraction centers.
My brilliant students are very hands on mathematicians. I notice they learn best with tangible materials and bright colored centers.
The students I teach are a part of Fourth grade class at a Title One school in Mississippi.
They are the sweetest kids in the world and they work so hard in my math class. Everything is a competition to them and they they are always justifying how they solved their math problems.
The fraction center material will be a great resource to have in the classroom. We will be learning about fractions very soon and I would love to provide hands on centers rather than a typical worksheet. They get so involved in their centers and I know they would love to have fraction centers to work with.
My goal is for my students to not only learn how to solve problems, but to think BIG and justify "Show Off" what they know!
I know they will always remember my class for years to come and I hope I can inspire them to love math. I did not love math until I started teaching it and Common Core encourages the students to be the teachers.
