We also need an Adjustable Pocket Chart Stand and Heavy-Duty Pocket Chart for learning sentence structure and creative writing.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
Our students come from a majority of low income homes and all receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is a Title 1 school and our students also receive free weekend food bags. Our student body is made up of a culturally diverse group of students that are hard working and have big dreams of their own. Our students have enough hardships outside of the classroom that they should not have to experience them at school. When they come to class so full of life and eagerness to learn, I am there to meet them head on and give them the skills and knowledge of learning that will help them throughout their entire lives.
KINDERGARTEN is where the adventure begins!!
I tell my students how important it is to learn and work together to make a difference in this world. We have a saying in our class:
"WHO IS SMART?", they say "I AM SMART!", then they turn to their neighbor and say, "YOU ARE SMART AND TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!!"
By donating to our project, you will give each of my students the privilege of having their own whiteboard and supplies to use in the classroom. In our classroom whiteboards are used daily. We use them for writing and math. With these requested Superhero and Animal whiteboards, Magnetic Write & Wipe Boards, Lapboard Supply Centers, erasers, and Expo dry erase markers students can practice writing their sight words, writing words around the room, and writing sentences during reading. In math they can use them to write and solve math problems. They are great for the students to be able to draw pictures to help solve their math problems. They are a great way for me to see what my students are doing and for them to easily correct themselves. My students will be more engaged while using their own whiteboard and supplies. These will be used during small group, whole group, and individual assignments.
The pocket chart and stand will also be great assets to our classroom.
They will allow students to learn sentence structure and be creative while making their own sentences.
