My students are diverse, kind, and accepting. They love learning and exploring new concepts. My school serves predominantly minority students. They are from several places around the world, including Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Mexico, India, Iraq, and America. My classroom consists of 24 third-grade students who are currently in the process of acquiring a second language (English). I'm always looking for resources that will support the diverse learners within my class.
One hundred percent of the students who attend our school receive free or reduced-price lunch.
We have a highly diverse immigrant population. Students learn a lot from each other by respecting and accepting each other's differences.
My Project
Writing is a wonderful way to express yourself and share new and interesting information. Many of my students struggle with expressing themselves through writing, and this project is designed to help them develop as young writers, especially since they will all be writing about a meaningful topic of their own choosing. With your help, I look forward to giving them the unique experience of seeing their own stories shared in print!
The materials we are requesting will help my students bring their stories to life, in many ways.
My goal is to give students the pride of seeing their final essays published and displayed. I also want them to have an opportunity to share our writing with their families and our entire school community! To accomplish this, I am requesting copy paper and printer ink. I am very excited about the prospect of providing my students with the experience of seeing their work printed and displayed.
