My students need dry erase boards with markers and erasers, colored papers with sheet protectors, and learning response buzzers to enhance differentiated learning and remediation for those students who need more enrichment.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are special because they come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Regardles that my students may come from poverty, may be homeless, have a single parent in the home, or not knowing where there next meal is coming from, they are eager and ready to learn. The majority of my students are on free and reduced lunch and they may not have the financial opportunities to further explore their thoughts and ideas. I want to provide my students with different learning materials to help guide them into becoming lifelong learners regardless of their situation and/or low socioeconomic background.
Each student has the ability to learn and with a variety of engaging materials, I will be able to provide them with special opportunities to help them deepen their love of learning to become, life long learners.
Being able to have access to the smaller things and make a larger investment in their education, will help them feel a sense of achievement and encourage all of them to exceed their own academic goals.
My Project
Students learn in many ways and their self confidence plays a role in the how much they participate in class. Learning is taking place when all students are engaged in the process. The whiteboards with markers and dry erasers will help each student increase their confidence and achieve that feeling of mastering the subject concepts.
As an educator, it brings great joy to see my students take control of their learning and understanding the value of participation, hard work, and determination.
It is always encouraging to show the students that hard work pays off with opportunities to earn incentives for growth and mastery. All levels should be rewarded to show students the purpose of setting short and long term goals.Students are empowered with learning and mastering concepts and with the feeling of making their learning a competition to see who is the best. These learning supplies will help them want to continue to work hard knowing that they are supported by their teachers and community.
