Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Each year I am noticing that more and more students don't have the basic writing utensils needed to get through the school day. I just found out that our school will qualify to be a Title I school, which means a majority of my students receive free or reduced price breakfast/lunches at school. If parents are struggling to pay for breakfast and lunches this means they probably are struggling to provide the basic materials for their students school day.

With your donation you will be helping low income students be more successful during the school day, because they will have the proper writing utensils to meet their basic needs.

With your donation I plan on providing both pencils and erasers to each teacher in my department so that ever student has access to the basic writing utensils they need to be successful in class.
