This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an English teacher of ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade students, I strive to foster a love for writing within my classroom. I want my students to be excited about writing and be able to use their composition notebooks to show creativity and self-expression. I will do this through the use of daily quick writes, which I use at the beginning of every class. Students will have their personal composition notebooks where they can respond to a daily prompt. This daily activity is meant to be engaging and allow students to explore class material on a deeper level. Having a personal composition notebook will allow for an organized, safe space for my students to spark their creativity.
