Writing Through the Day

My students need the whiteboards to use to practice writing during whole group and clear pockets to practice their handwriting during literacy centers.

My Students

My awesome kindergarteners are eager and ready to learn. My school is located in a small town in Oklahoma, where everyone knows everyone. Our school is a Title I school where many receive free or reduced-price lunches. My students work hard and love coming to school each and every day. I want to make sure they know I believe in them, and I will push them to be their very best. My kids deserve a place where they feel comfortable so I know they are ready to learn.

My Project

In kindergarten, writing practice is so important. Learning how to write correctly is difficult. With the marker board paddles, my students will be able to practice their writing while I am modeling during our whole group lessons. We will also be able to play games where I can assess their understanding of the content instead of using worksheets every day! The clear pockets allow my students reuse worksheets by sliding them into the pockets and using dry erase markers. The clear pockets will be used during literacy centers to reinforce skills the students learned during whole group reading and math. The white board paddles and clear pockets will be used daily in our classroom.
