We are a Title I school. My students need effective resources that provide more individualized and more interactive instruction. We need to have access to motivating interactive materials that that the students love and need! We need writing tablets to display student work and let students learn and teach from them.
I have 30 enthusiastic, motivated students that come to class every day to learn and have fun.
Most of my students are from lower income families and require more help and individualized attention and instruction from me each day. Despite this, they are always trying their best and deserve all the help that we can provide and more! I strive to give the best instruction and assistance to my students in order for them to excel in life and prepare them for careers and higher education. As a class we work as a team and help everyone to be successful. We learn in many ways as we encourage each other and build each other up.
My Project
These electronic writing tablets will help my students learn in an interactive, fun way. We will use these writing tablets in place of our white boards and save money from buying endless Expo markers because the ink is dried up or the tip is worn down. These writing tablets will be taken care of in a storage area in the classroom. We will use them multiple times throughout the day. Students will use them during review time in math. They will solve math problems on their writing tablet and then they will have the chance to collaborate with their peers while they explain and show their work displayed on their writing tablet. Students will be engaged with their learning through interacting with their peers using these fun writing tablets. They will also hold the tablet up so the teacher can see their answers, which will inform the teacher of the students who may need extra help and the students who understand the concept.
These writing tablets will be a fun and interactive way to keep students engaged in their learning as they show their work on an electronic writing tablet instead of the paper, pencil technique.
These writing tablets will help 3rd graders across the grade level with math help in our morning Learning Lab before school. These students need extra help with their math due to the missing gaps that they have experienced from previous years due to COVID and other circumstances.
These writing tablets will be a great asset for the after school homework club. Students will be able to practice multiplication math facts and spelling words in a fun and interactive way. I can see endless possibilities for the use of these tablets in my classroom. I believe it will motivate learning in the classroom.
