This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Where do I begin.....my students at my school are awesome! These students come to school each and every day ready to hit the ground running with their education! They may have struggles but they try their hardest to fight these struggles to become better students.
My school is located in a neighborhood that faces many difficulties on a daily basis.It is a poverty stricken neighborhood.
My school is a Title 1 school and every student receives free lunches daily. Even though the neighborhood isn't the best for these students and their families, they still make it to school each day. The school is most students safe place where they can be themselves and enjoy learning.
My Project
For this donors choose, I am asking for a class set of writing journals. This past year my students had these journals and my students really used them. The journals gave the students a chance to get really creative and really enjoy their writing.
Students often have difficulty with writing but these journals made them enjoy writing a lot more.
Students will not only write about different topics but there is also space for students to create an illustration. The illustration allows them to be creative as well. The illustration also helps them to get their ideas flowing in their head. The students would really enjoy these journals!
