Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A classroom printer, drawing pencils, glue sticks, and other tools will inspire my students to express themselves through many styles of writing. In a world filled with technology and artificial intelligence, the ability to communicate effectively is critical.
Many students in my classroom are English language learners, and many of my students are below grade level in reading and in writing.
Because of these deficits, many of my students disengage in writing because they believe writing is difficult for them.
I want all of my students to embrace all forms of writing, including creative writing structures like poetry, songwriting, and writing stories. The color printer, pens, scrapbook and art materials will encourage my students to experience writing as something that is fun, and a tool to open the world of communication for them. We will create books, we will write songs, poetry, and publish our work.
