This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

My students are a dynamic and energetic group of middle school children that cannot get enough of reading, writing and creating projects.
My students socioeconomic status ranges from low to high socioeconomic; some of them do not have access to technology and basic school supplies at home such as pens, paper, and pencils. All of my students participate in the International Baccalaureate program at school.
The classroom supplies requested will help our students create and implement a Creative Writing Club for all to join. This club will help students excel, polish their writing and reading skills and build their confidence to help them succeed beyond the classroom.
It is my goal to guide my students and watch them grow to their full potential!
My Project
My creative writing club is a fun and safe place where students can express their ideas, thoughts and dreams all in one place! Students can then choose to either share with the club, the school or publish their piece of writing. Having the necessary supplies readily available for my students to implement the club and its activities will have a positive impact on their grades, attendance, and attitude.
Having the necessary classroom supplies such as highlighters, ink, paper, and composition notebooks will prepare our students not only to write but to keep all drafts they compose in one place. Moreover, the other materials such as colored pencils and pens will help students edit and revise each other's projects. Lastly, the USB drives will be used to save their work for all times to re-edit and revise.
With these materials, students will have the tools necessary to grow as learners, achieve success and become responsible citizens of our ever-changing world without worrying about how they are going to find supplies to succeed. They will have a safe forum to express themselves free from bias, bullying, and prejudices.
This is my initiative to provide my students the opportunities to soar and expand "their wings to fly" with everything at their fingertips.
