Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most amazing students. They love working with each other and learning new things. I enjoy coming into the classroom where my students love to learn and be with each other.
We are an urban school in Nevada.
We are a Title I school where we receive free breakfast and lunch for our students.
Many of our students are English Language Learners. We are a great community where the parents are really involved with the school. The teachers are committed to helping our students achieve their academic goals.
My Project
I envision using these supplies by giving the students the resources to be able to improve their writing every few months. The first set of journals is for them to be able to write the beginning sounds of words that they are learning in the classroom. The second set of journals has more lines where they will be able to write simple sentences and draw pictures to go with it. The third set of journals is where they are able to write more detailed sentences and become amazing writers in the kindergarten classroom.
These donations will be a great help because it will help with keep a portfolio for our students and watch their own growth in their writing.
It will be a great management tool for me because it will help me watch my students become great authors while they have the tools to succeed in writing.
