Writing is Fun in First Grade!

Help me give my students 22 new books to help them become better writers.

My Students

We are a classroom of first-grade students who live and learn in a small community in Utah. We love to read and explore our world by meeting new characters in books and through non-fiction books. We learn best by hands-on​ building and creating.

My students are excited and curious about learning, they love to explore and discover new things together.

You can often find us working in small groups communicating to work on a new challenge or solve a problem. We love working together to solve problems that will help our classroom and prepare us to help our community.

My Project

First graders love to write! First graders learn better when they see examples of good writing and picture books are the best ways to appeal to young learners!

I need engaging books to help spark their imagination and show them what good writing looks like.

I will be able to use these books as a springboard for different writing lessons. This will help them make connections and be more confident in their writing. Children learn best by doing and this will give them opportunities to do what they like best, WRITE!
