Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The children go to the only performing arts school in the DC area for elementary students. They travel from different parts of DC to be part of our pre-k family.

At our school we strive for all of our students to be respectful, relentless, and united.

In early childhood, we are part of Appletree curriculum, that provides structure and rigor for our children.

The curriculum was created to close the achievement gap in low-income communities. Our kids have the great curriculum and amazing teachers. We need your help to assist us with materials.

My Project

Whiteboards are essential in the beginning stages in preschool and it is the only way to effectively teach preschool children how to write their letters. Our curriculum is tailored to close the achievement gap for children living in low-income areas. Parents pick our school for our rigor and our effective teachers.

By having easy to use teacher whiteboard, small group whiteboard, and a whiteboard for each child in the classroom to have access to.

These materials are essential to maximize student academic growth. Studies have shown that children whom are enrolled in early childhood and have exposure visually to their letters and also the ability to write them. The will be advance by the time they enter kindergarten. I do not want my children to be behind, because they do not have effective materials to write their letters.
