Ms. Johnson from Birmingham AL is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need printers and paper to publish their writing in my writing classroom. I would like to be able to display and enter writing contest with writing typed in standard English with correct punctuation.

Our school strives to find the academic best in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my class strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
My class consists of 36 amazing students.
Of those 36, three are English learners, four receives resource services, and one is in speech. They all have a think win-win attitude and do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community
My students need printers and paper to publish their writing in my writing classroom. I would like to be able to display and enter writing contest with writing typed in standard English with correct punctuation. My students are already avid writers. They write in journals daily to express feelings, answer writing prompts, and to solve problems. My students have not been introduced to published writing because of the cost. Each student has saved many writing pieces to their own jump drives. However, I am not able to print any of their work on the schools limited copy count per teacher. I would like to take writing to the next level and enter students in contest, have published copies of their writing for students and parents to keep, and for students to see themselves as writer. I believe that being able to write well is beneficial in every career. Please help us do more for our students!
