Writing: Inspiring One Dream at a Time

Help me give my students the proper tools needed to improve their writing skills especially the writing process folders with frequently misspelled words listed in the cover, the pencils to write and pens for their final copies.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Kracmer's classroom raised $346

My Students

Live from my very active 3rd grade classroom...my diverse, energetic group of students work hard to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners.

My class has more than half who come from low income homes making supplies limited for many of them.

They love hugs, fist bumps, and active learning. They are a diverse group coming from all different cultures and backgrounds. They are eager learners who strive for more than what they have.

My motto is: this is a safe room to make mistakes because mistakes make the best teachable moments.

My Project

Writing and reading go together. To understand what you are reading, you must understand the concept of writing. By providing my class with pencils, pens, and writing folders, they will be prepared and organized to write.

For example, the book about sandwich writing provides me lessons where the bread is the introduction and conclusion while the meat and veggies are the main ideas and details of their writing.

So, when teaching an informational writing such as: My favorite season; they will utilize the sandwich approach and be able to connect to real life experience. With many different prompts available in the book, the students will be able to use the concept over and over to improve their writing.
