This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to work with different tools and supplies. I am requesting writing journals for my students. I wish you could see the joy on my students' faces as they work on writing. They proudly show their sentences to me and their classmates.
Writing helps students recognize that their thoughts and ideas are worth sharing.
We will begin by writing about Martin Luther King Jr., Black History month, Lunar New Year, and more. My students will be able to have a place to write about what they are learning in these journals. These experiences lead to gains in reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills. I am also requesting some pre-filled eggs for our annual egg hunt. Thank you for supporting my students!
