My Project
This coming school year, I plan to provide students with a safe and enlightening English-elective class designed to cultivate a sense of grounding, ease, and belonging.
This course, entitled "Writing for Peace," will focus on mindfulness, breathing techniques, meditation, light movement (supported by yoga blocks), and reflection to create a sense of calm and positivity using a singing bowl set.
Students can expect soothing music, (battery-operated) candles, and a technology-light approach within the classroom as we travel a pathway of placidity.
Help me offer a creative and enriching environment for upper-level students yearning for a slowed-down approach to education.
