Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school serves students in grades PreK-5th. We are a Title I school, a high percentage of our students meet the qualifiers for receiving free meals during their school day. I am the fortunate teacher of one of the PreK classroom at our school. My goal is to promote a love of learning in the children in my class as well as to prepare them to be ready for Kindergarten. One of my main focuses this year is to enhance materials that I currently have for pre-reading and writing. My goal is to develop and enhance better language and writing skills with my students.

My Project

We are in need of replacement materials for two centers our Writing Center and our Creativity Center. Our students use these centers almost daily, consequently the materials that are available are used up quickly. The materials that I am referring to are paper and dry erase markers.

With your assistance and donation to our classroom we will be able to replace these materials as needed and have these centers stocked with fresh pens and new paper and always available for use.

Having these materials available provides my students with the opportunity to express themselves whenever the opportunity presents itself to them.
