Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach special education students from extremely low income families. My class is mild/moderate SDC class for Kinder/1st grade. Many of my students are English learners and half of my students are autistic. These hands-on supplies are very engaging and will allow a lot of great learning.
My students are in kindergarten and 1st grade and range from age 5 to 7.
I teach an SDC (Special Day Class) special ed class. My students have various learning disabilities including autism and intellectual disabilities. My students are from a very low income area and many of them are also English learners.
My Project
Magic Board has baselines printed right on the screen ÂÂ"so it'ÂÂs easy for children to practice their writing skills again and again. The kids just use the attached magnetic pen to write on the board, and then slide the eraser bar to wipe it clean. The class set of glue sticks will allow students to complete cut and paste worksheets and craft projects.
You can make a real difference in the lives of these special needs students.
These supplies can be used year after year to help improve student learning. Your help will ensure that my students have the best possible opportunity to learn communication skills and gain valuable pre-writing skills.
