Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am teaching fourth grade after teaching third grade for many years. The students come from diverse backgrounds, and many are English Language Learners. Many students have challenges to overcome, but, nevertheless, they always try their best to succeed. They enjoy learning new things in creative, hands-on experiences.
These students enjoy learning and love to be motivated.
I want to do everything I can to help them succeed and to allow them to be engaged and inspired while learning. I want students to be able to learn in a way that will help them get the most out of school and to reach their potential.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of items. These items will help enhance my students learning experiences. The composition books, paper, and rulers will help students to write and create stories and make thinking maps. The microphone systems will help students to be heard and to feel more comfortable sharing their research, stories, and experiences. The Chromebook cases are for our Chromebooks that enable students to type their stories and research.
These items will help to create an environment in which students are excited about expressing themselves through written and verbal expression.
Students will feel more inspired to be creative and comfortable in become better authors and speakers.
