This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My middle school students work hard every day inside the classroom. However, they can not keep up with their highlighters or pencils for anything.

The highlighters, pencils, and storage containers will allow me to provide the daily utensils students need to work inside my ELA classroom without any excuses.

I require my students to be like spies and find their evidence in the text as well as annotate passages to develop comprehension. Without highlighters or pencils my students can not do the necessary work needed to build their comprehension of the texts we read inside the classroom.
