Help me give my students more opportunities to write and show all they know. This drying rack will increase our chances to paint, while the pencils and journals will be used every day.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This is a bright and active group of five- and six-year-old children. They love to create and tell stories. They love to read and be read to. They are quickly learning to work together, which is a vital skill in our world. My children work in small groups and independently throughout the day.
We grow in all areas by practicing and playing together.
Writing throughout the day in science, social studies, math, and even in art helps us in so many ways. We get noisy, but we learn so much together. We need supplies to grow as readers, writers, and illustrators. We need to show the colors of our ideas. There is so much to learn.
My Project
Kindergarten is a chance to explore and experiment. These journals will allow us to add words to these discoveries. We will use the pencils and journals every day to record our growth. Pencils are a vital part of our day but they are honestly useless without a good pencil sharpener.
Easel painting is challenging in a class of 30.
This drying rack will decrease one challenge and help us get our masterpieces hung or home safely. This graph paper will allow us to explore the mathematical challenge of collecting data. We can even graph how many of us used green in our artwork.
