My Students
I teach the 3rd grade Special Education Autism Core Program at our school. We are a Title I School, meaning that more than three-quarters of the students in our school come from low‑income households. Besides autism, some of my students also have anxiety, ADHD and specific learning disabilities. However, despite their disabilities, they always come to school with a smile on their face.
My students' smiles bring joy to my life and they make my days more enjoyable.
Despite the many challenges that we face in the classroom, I always work hard to enhance their education to help them be successful in any way possible.
My Project
My students are mostly visual and kinesthetic learners. Having binoculars and photo paper would really help my teaching. It would allow me to reinforce our lessons in a more meaningful way. We have some really fun and educational field trips coming up. I'd like to help my students become better writers by writing about their lived experiences.
The binoculars are amazing because they will help enhance my students' experiences during field trips.
Best of all, these binoculars come with a phone mount. I can attach my phone to them so that we can all experience things together. In the classroom, we will extend our experience by writing about it. The photo paper will allow me to print a photo for each of my students about their experience. They will be able to see the photo to recall details that will help improve their writing. We thank you for your help!
