Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, so they are going to create their own comic books, newspaper, and story books.
My students are full of wonder and imagination.
They see the world with very different eyes. But unfortunately some of them do not have the chance to have things that so many of us take for granted. My students come from a middle to low class families and some of them do not have the money to buy books.
My Project
I believe that with the items such as the printers, camera, ink and the memory card will enhance and allow my students to create books, comic books and a newspaper that they would be proud of creating. They will share it with not only each other but with the elementary students and the community. It will allow them to feel that they can succeed in anything. Who knows maybe a great reporter or writer will emerge.
I think my project is important because it will not only allow the students to be creative but will boost their self esteem.
They will feel that they are doing something to help the community.
