Help me give my students five laptops to use in writing class! These laptops will give students the opportunity to publish their drafts on a computer at the end of each unit of study.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Fifth grade writing classroom is a place for students to explore their unique voice and challenge themselves. My students are creative, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals. They enter the writing classroom with a willingness to share their life experiences and imagination with myself and peers. They are respectful of one another and create a community that is safe.
As my students prepare themselves for middle school, I hope to provide them the resources that aid in positive thinking, enjoyment, and a passion for life-long learning.
My Project
We are requesting five laptops to use in writing class! Laptops in the writing room will help students learn how to type their work on a computer with proper formatting and structure. Some students struggle to publish their work with conventional pen and paper; these laptops will give students an alternate way to complete their final draft!
My students get so excited to have the opportunity to type their work!
Unfortunately, we do not have enough computers for every student; these computers will inspire and motivate students to foster a new love of writing. It is important that my writers have options to be able to express themselves and allow their voices to be heard!
