My Students

When asked about my day, I am very likely to say "Every day is an adventure!" One of the greatest parts of working with middle school students every day is the personality that they bring to the table. They are hilarious! With minds running a million miles an hour, my kiddos come up with the most creative, out-of-the-box thoughts!

I recently had a student ask me "If Germ-X kills germs, why doesn't Kleenex kill clean?" Sometimes I just sit back and wonder how they come up with this wild stuff!

I feel that it is my job to questions them, challenge them, and feed that natural curiosity and creative thinking. When you help fund my project, you are able to be a part of fostering that creativity through ensuring my students have appropriate resources.

My Project

Something that has become much more difficult as a result of hybrid learning and social distancing is collaboration among the students. They are very used to working together, working in groups, and thinking through topics and ideas with their peers.

In order to cultivate a collaborative learning environment, I have to get creative.

White boards and the accompanying supplies will allow for more collaborative learning and conversations. This resource will last for years to come and can easily be disinfected to minimize the spread of germs. These materials will be a great addition to the Social Studies classroom.
