My Students

My students are a group of highly energetic and motivated third graders. They love to learn and delight in sharing their knowledge with others. My students come from diverse backgrounds and our school is located in a high-needs area. With that in mind, I want to give my students every advantage that I can to be successful and reach their full potential. We learn from one another on a daily basis and strive to be cognizant of what we can do to help others through learning and caring. Being able to fully meet the diverse learning styles in my classrooms is something that I strive for on a daily basis.

My Project

These writing prompt journals will engage my students in a variety of ways as it will encourage them to write about different topics and writing styles. With this being the first year back in school after being away for a year and a half, students are really lacking in writing skills and the confidence needed to pursue the various avenues that writing can take. These journals are a great way for my students to share their thoughts and ideas and develop their writing over the course of the school year.
