My Students

Every time I enter my classroom, I feel like an artist preparing art pieces for an art gallery. Like all art pieces, each student in my classroom is a masterpiece. Each student is unique, each student is eager to become better and each student wants to shine bright when they go out into the world.

The students in my class never cease to amaze me.

They come from very diverse backgrounds. Some come from broken homes and others come from homes where English is a second language. Some are working on speech, and some strive to become healthy mentally, but most importantly they all strive to become better learners. Their love for learning and their desire to become better creates a wonderful learning environment. Being in their presence is an inspiring and heartwarming opportunity.

My Project

My students would love showing their thinking in a fun and engaging way with Boogie Boards! Boogie Boards are perfect for twenty-first-century kids who love technology. It is an innovative way for students to show their thinking not only to me but to each other.

The best part is they can also scan and save their hard work to their digital portfolio!

Boogie boards would be used in our classroom for small group instruction and whole group learning in all subject areas. The possibilities are endless for us to show our learning of what is expected in the core. Boogie Boards would allow me to save students work that they have done. They can be used for quick exit tickets and assessment pieces in class.

Not only would the benefit our learning, but they would save money on paper and dry erase markers for the year. Going green is a great way to also help my students learn about taking care of the planet that they live on. These would be used for years to come in our classroom!
